Community Donation Request
SafeWay Driving is founded on a relentless commitment to creating safer drivers and driving environments in our communities. For over five decades, SafeWay Driving has consistently supported the areas where we live, work and play. Our goal in charitable giving is to support initiatives that positively affect our local communities and more specifically, education. We recognize that our business is generated from within our communities and that it is imperative we acknowledge that support by giving back to our schools.
Thousands of Requests
As you might imagine, SafeWay Driving is a very visible company and receives countless requests for donations from many worthy schools and organizations. Therefore we have followed the lead of many great companies and consolidated our Donation Request process on our website for your convenience. It also allows for us to insure we are getting all of the critical information necessary to evaluate your request and process it as efficiently as possible.nd that it is imperative we acknowledge that support by giving back to our schools.
Only Method of Submission
SafeWay Driving will not accept request for donations in any other submission format. We will not recognize personal sales calls, materials received by U.S. Mail, delivery service, fax, email, or phone calls of solicitation. We respectfully ask our community supporters to recognize the large volume of requests we process and understand this is the best possible approach to meeting everyone’s needs.
All Fundraisers Are Important!
Every fundraiser has a great cause and probably has one or more of our 275,000 driving school graduates or current students involved in it! Unfortunately, that does not mean we can financially afford to give to them all. And giving to an organization once also does not mean we will automatically give to it again next year. Each and every submission is evaluated on a case by case basis for both its merit and our current financial ability to support the initiative at that time.
If you feel your organization and specific donation request meets our expectations described in this guideline, please feel free to complete the online application thoroughly and submit it for consideration. Please note all applications must be submitted at least ninety (90) days prior to the event or publication date and there are no exceptions. Due to the heavy volume of requests please allow up to four (4) weeks for a response.
In order to qualify for a donation of any kind your organization must meet the following criteria:
Be a recognized 501c3 organization
Submit your request at least 90 days in advance of the event or publication
Complete ALL sections of the Donation Request form
Your organization, event or fundraiser may not IN ANY WAY serve or promote alcohol
Your organization has not received a donation from SafeWay Driving within the past year
Your cause must prove a direct positive impact on education in our community
You must be able to prove beneficial exposure to SafeWay Driving tied to the donation
You must be able to demonstrate sound and responsible financial management
As a rule, we do not make donations to:
Projects of a political nature
