Red Card Information

My Student Received a Red Card

This is a progress report and nothing is wrong. Students learn driving skills at their own pace just as they do reading skills. Your student needs extra help from you! They need as much practice as you can give them on a regular basis. They have finished 2 driving lessons in our program and are still in the neighborhood, or are on Lesson 5 and are not ready to move to Track II (heavy traffic, more difficult intersections). Without additional practice from you, they will most likely need extra lessons after the 7th required lesson. The charge for extra lessons will be $35 per lesson. Many students take additional lessons. To complete our course students must pass a Track I test, drive Track II, go on the freeway for one lesson (no test) and then pass the final in-car driving exam.  Do not take the student on the freeway until we do.

Again, there is no problem with your child’s driving ability, except at this time they need more pratice between our lessons. The instructors and you are on one team working towards one objective: Making your student the safest driver possible. One coaching point: I would schedule only 1 time per week, and only in daylight hours with the driving school. This will give you more time between lessons. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to work with your student.
