1. To give the students a SYSTEM which will develop skills to become COLLISION FREE DRIVERS.
2. To deliver the SYSTEM in such a manner to motivate the students to use these skills in their everyday driving.

Driv-Tec System of Driving

2 hours per student

1. In-Car Session – Will be an individual session consisting of one-on-one instruction for two hours. We will train the student to use the Driv-Tec System in the vehicle.

1. In-Car Training (One-on-One)
   The objective is: Not to teach you how to move the vehicle – you already know this. We are going to give you a “Space Management System” that will keep you aware of everything around you at all times. Our lesson will train you to “READ THE TRAFFIC” with a technique known as Commentary Driving. This system will give you an opportunity to be a COLLLISION FREE DRIVER ! We hang our hat on training students to “Read the Traffic” (proper use of eyes).

   Our system to accomplish this is called the DrivTec System of driving. To be more specific, students will be trained in:

   • Correct following distance.
   • Clearing all intersections.
   • Lane changes.
   • PNR (technique to safely get through traffic lights)
   • Checking mirrors at proper times.
   • Continuously reading traffic.
   • Backing.

   We will strive to develop proper habits in the above areas, so your employees will execute these techniques when performing for you. Commentary Driving is communicating everything in the traffic scene verbally. This system is very unique. Most important, it is fun, and gets results. If you would like a demonstration of the system, we can arrange a time for us to come visit your company. (Travel Expenses only if out of Houston; no charge if in Houston.)

An objective written evaulation and performance score will be sent to each student’s supervisor.

1. 0-10 students - All instruction will be done at Safe-Way Driving Centre at 9319 Katy Freeway (I-10 & Blalock)
2. 11+ students - Instruction can be done at employers’ location or Safe-Way Driving Centre.
3. Safe-Way Driving Centre will provide the vehicles, in Houston, Texas only.
4. Safe-Way Driving Centre will provide all insurance and gasoline for the vehicles.
5. STUDENTS MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE PRESENT FOR ALL IN-CAR TRAINING SESSIONS.
6. Training times will be coordinated with the company’s schedule. We train students seven days per week.
7. We will need one to two weeks lead time to organize and set up the program for your company.
8. A written contract will be signed between your company and Safe-Way Driving Centre describing all services to be rendered and total tuition due.

1. Travel Expenses will include airfare, ground travel, meals and lodging.
2. Company must provide vehicles for all training outside of Houston, Texas.
